Web poker has become world famous lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years many variants on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with 21 than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the casino rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no conniving or other kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier announcing "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the house and of course all of the other gamblers attain five cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you must either make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original wager, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your bet goes instantaneously to the casino. After the wager comes the showdown. If the casino does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, plus a sum in accordance with the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The bank pays out money equal to your initial bet and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
